SOT is pleased to provide funding support for several upcoming meetings based on their relevance to contributing toward advancing the SOT Strategic Plan. For more information on competitive meeting support and endorsement provided by SOT, please visit the “SOT-Sponsored Meetings” web page.

For more information on these and other upcoming toxicology-related meetings, please visit the Calendar of Events.

XXII Brazilian Congress of Toxicology

The XXII Brazilian Congress of Toxicology (CBTOX) will be held in Balneário Camboriú, State of Santa Catarina, from May 25 to May 28, 2022. The Congress’s theme, “Innovation in Toxicological Sciences,” reflects the importance of toxicology in the modern world.

A robust program was designed to include continuous education courses, keynote speakers, and plenary and symposium sessions that will showcase the latest global updates, especially on innovation in the toxicological sciences.

For more information and to register, please visit the CBTOX website.

Columbia University Environmental Mixtures Workshop

The two-day “Environmental Mixtures Workshop: Applications in Environmental Health Studies” is an intensive training of seminars and hands-on analytical sessions to provide an overview of environmental mixtures concepts, techniques, and data analysis methods used in health studies. Experts from Columbia, Harvard, and Mt. Sinai will help you put concepts into practice in this livestream, online training, taking place July 28–29, 2022.

Capacity is limited and investigators from any institution and familiar with R are welcome to attend. See the SHARP Program website for more details and for information on how to register.

Developmental Neurotoxicology Society 2022 Annual Meeting

The Developmental Neurotoxicology Society (DNTS) Annual Meeting will take place June 26–June 29 in a virtual format. DNTS is focused on studies of the developmental origins of nervous system disorders and their long-term effects on behavior and biology. DNTS defines development as a lifelong process with several critical windows encompassing all life stages.

This year, the meeting will include a special symposium in honor of Dr. Phillip J. Bushnell focusing on the continued importance of behavioral toxicology. In addition, there will be two distinguished lectures by prominent researchers in the field. Distinguished lectures this year will be Dr. Nicolle Tulve, who will give a presentation titled “Children’s Exposure to Chemical and Non-chemical Stressors: What Have We Learned About Health and Well-Being,” and Dr. Adele Diamond, who will give a presentation titled “What Improves and What Impairs Executive Functions.” In addition, there will be a number of joint symposia with our sister societies (the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention and the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists) focused on “Novel Approaches for Assessment of Complex Mixtures,” “Disparities in Pregnancy and Birth Outcomes,” “PFAS and Children’s Health,” and “Environmental Justice in Birth Defects Research.”

Information about registration can be found on the “Meetings” web page of the DNTS website.

2022 International Particle and Toxicology Conference

The next International Particle and Toxicology Conference (IPTC) will be held August 28–31, 2022, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since 1979, the IPTC has been a meeting place of thought leaders and research directors, as well as an emerging start in the diverse field of particle and fiber toxicology. This conference brings together world experts on topics including fibers, airborne particulate matter, inhalation toxicology, and dosimetry, as well as in vitro and in vivo models for inhalation toxicology studies. Scientists of all levels are encouraged to come connect, learn, and share knowledge!

For more information, to submit an abstract and to register, please visit the 2022 IPTC website.

International Society of Exposure Science—32nd Annual Meeting

The International Society of Exposure Science invites you to participate in the 32nd annual meeting, being held in person in Lisbon, Portugal, September 25–29, 2022. Registration is open!

The theme of the 2022 meeting is “From Exposure to Human Health: New Developments and Challenges in a Changing Environment.” The meeting will promote information sharing and facilitate discussion on exposure sciences and related fields in the context of the environment, especially how we can better understand and respond to the complex and multidisciplinary issues in exposure and environmental health through sciences and policies.
