We’re excited to announce that SOT is continuing its collaboration with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science by offering an upcoming virtual Science Communication Training Workshop in October 2024. This workshop is tailored to provide you with the essential tools needed to effectively convey your research and engage with diverse audiences, including the public, policymakers, and fellow scientists.
Workshop Overview
At SOT, we prioritize the development of science communication skills among our members. Our ongoing partnership with the Alan Alda Center has been key to this mission. Twice a year, SOT hosts virtual workshops titled “The Essentials,” which is the Alda Center’s core training program. Each workshop is limited to 24 participants and lasts for three hours.

All SOT members are welcome to apply for the workshop, with spots allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your place, apply now for the October session. Applications are accepted continuously, and if the workshop is fully booked, you’ll be placed on a waiting list for the next available session.
