The scientific program for the 2022 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo will begin with an exploration of how molecular, clinical, and epidemiological data can inform diagnostics, therapeutics, and drug efficacy during the Opening Plenary Session by Atul Butte, of the University of California San Francisco, on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Happening live in San Diego from March 27 to March 31, 2022, the 61st SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo will feature 70 Featured and Scientific Sessions alongside dozens of additional activities and events.

Other Featured Sessions from the scientific program include:

  • The Plenary Keynote Medical Research Council Lecture on “Genetic Approaches to Study Early Lineage Specification in Human Embryos” by Kathy Niakan, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom
  • A Symposium Session on “Molecular Secrets Inside and Outside Respiratory Toxicity of Particles and Fibers” co-hosted by SOT and the Japanese Society of Toxicology
  • A chance to meet the Director of the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the US National Toxicology Program, Rick Woychik

Additional Featured Sessions, including the SOT/EUROTOX Debate and Award Lectures, will be announced in the coming months.

The Scientific Program Committee (SPC) has accepted 58 Symposium, Workshop, Roundtable, Regional Interest, Informational, and Education-Career Development Sessions for the meeting, and the full schedule for these events is now available through the newly launched Online Planner. The Online Planner is updated regularly as events are finalized, so check back often for the latest meeting information. Also, you can use the Online Planner to build a customized meeting schedule that will transfer to the SOT Event App for use on-site in San Diego.

As Myrtle conveyed in a message a few weeks ago, we are finalizing ways to enhance the in-person meeting with digital offerings and will provide updates as those plans are completed.

In the meantime, explore the scientific program and register to join us in San Diego.
