The Postdoctoral Assembly (PDA) would like to announce that trainees sign-up is now open for the sixth annual Poster Tours for Trainees event during the 2017 SOT Annual Meeting in Baltimore.

This is a great opportunity for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to participate in a one-hour guided Poster Tour with an expert toxicologist to explore topics related to your specific interests. Join your guide to take part in critical evaluation of cutting-edge toxicological methods and research findings. Additionally, you will have a unique opportunity to network with your guide, their colleagues, and fellow trainees.

Interested graduate students and postdoctoral scientists can sign up  through February 28 by selecting your scientific topics and sectors (academia/industry/government) of interest. You will be contacted by a member of the PDA once your group assignment has been made. Poster tour groups will meet at their designated start time at the Poster Tour Board located in the Pratt Street Lobby near registration.

On your Poster Tour, your group will join your guide to:

  • Visit a minimum of three posters selected by your guide.
  • Have an interactive discussion on the topic of interest and choice of posters.
  • Identify the outstanding features of the work, as well as the "next steps" in that body of research with the tour group and the presenter.
  • Network with your guide and tour group.
  • Both Guides and Trainees from previous years report very positive outcomes—sharing expertise, networking with the expert and colleagues, and obtaining advice on research and careers. Sign up now to secure a spot as there are a limited number of slots!

We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore!
