The Undergraduate Education Subcommittee is pleased to announce a new grant to increase undergraduate participation in Regional Chapter meetings. Exposure to toxicology during an undergraduate career contributes to the success of recruiting these students into professional or graduate programs. The committee will fund four $500 proposals from Regional Chapters that will bolster participation of undergraduates at the Regional Chapter meetings this fall. These funds can be used in a variety of ways. The members of the Undergraduate Education Subcommittee are available to advise or offer suggestions; contact Emily Ford or Larissa Williams to discuss. The request for proposals is found here; proposals are due August 31.
The Communiqué article "Paths Forward: Regional Chapter Programs Attracting Undergraduate Students to Toxicology" and a blog titled "Ohio Valley SOT Welcomes Undergraduates to Annual Meeting at Purdue University" describe undergraduate involvement in Regional Chapter meetings last fall.
