Columbia University Environmental Mixtures Workshop: August 23–24

We’re constantly exposed to multiple pollutants or “environmental mixtures” at any given time. Understanding how to analyze these mixtures is crucial to health research. Instructors from Columbia, Mt. Sinai, and Harvard have teamed up to have you come explore NYC 8/23–8/24 for the Environmental Mixtures Workshop: two intense days of seminars and hands-on analytical sessions to learn concepts, techniques, and data analysis methods used in environmental health studies looking at mixtures. All career stages are welcome. Capacity is limited! Register now at the conference website or email: Columbia.Mixtures@gmail.com.

American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology 7th Annual Meeting: September 11

The American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology (ASCCT) 7th Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 11, Lister Hill Auditorium, National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health Campus, Bethesda, Maryland. The meeting, Predictive Toxicology: Strategies for Implementing New Approaches, will focus on strategies for implementing predictive toxicology, and following the publication of the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) predictive toxicology roadmap, features topics focusing on US FDA-regulated products. As in past years, however, abstracts covering all aspects of cellular and computational toxicology, including policy, are welcome and invited. While the abstract deadline for consideration as an oral presentation has passed, the meeting organizers are still accepting poster presentation abstracts until September 1. See the draft program, get more details, submit a poster, and register at the meeting website.
