2019–2023 Strategic Plan: Informative Webcasts Now Available

By Leigh Ann Burns Naas posted 02-21-2019 15:51

Council recently finalized the 2019–2023 Strategic Plan, which extends several elements of the 2015–2018 plan and reflects feedback received from multiple stakeholders across the Society. The new plan will address the central challenge of strengthening the Society’s impact on science and public/environmental health.

As we move forward with the new Strategic Plan, Council seeks your input. To provide an overview and help illuminate specific elements thereof, I have recorded five webcasts of between six and eight minutes each that describe the new Strategic Plan and its four priorities. You can access the webcasts on ToXchange by logging in with your SOT credentials. You’ll notice that there is an introductory webcast and four additional webcasts that each focus on one of the plan’s strategic priorities. There also is a webcast that combines all five individual recordings into a single, 30-minute presentation. I encourage you to listen to the recordings at your convenience.

The executive summary of stakeholder input, as well as the summary of and data from the online surveys conducted to inform the plan’s development, also are posted on ToXchange. This information will help further your understanding of how the plan was created.

Council welcomes feedback on the Strategic Plan, and you are encouraged to send your comments. Members of Council will be available in the SOT Pavilion in Baltimore. Stop by on Monday–Wednesday between 10:00 am and 11:00 am or between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to provide comments and learn more about the plan. I look forward to the continued growth of our members and organization under the new Strategic Plan as we move into this next phase.
