Join in Applauding the Achievements of the 2012 SOT Award Recipients

This 51st SOT Annual Meeting begins by honoring the 2012 SOT Award Recipients, of both SOT Awards and Sponsored Awards. You are invited to join in celebrating the achievements of these outstanding scientists at the Awards Ceremony, Sunday, March 11, 5:15 pm–6:30 pm in Room 103 of the Moscone Convention Center. As a prelude to the ceremony, enjoy the Awards Ceremony Music performed by Glenn Staller, Classical Guitarist, from 4:45 pm–5:15 pm. Several new awards have been added this year, including the Translational/Bridging Travel Award and the Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program.

In recognition of distinguished toxicologists and students, SOT presents many prestigious awards each year. The SOT Awards Committee reviews applications and nominations for SOT Awards as well as most Sponsored Awards. In addition, the Board of Publications reviews the Best Paper Award in Toxicological Sciences and the Education Committee, Committee on Diversity Initiatives, Global Strategies Task Force, Postdoctoral Assembly, and Graduate Student Leadership Committee all select recipients of specific awards as determined by SOT Council.  Nominations for many of the Awards are due by October 9 and the process is easy and it takes about 15 minutes to submit your nomination. Please refer to the award descriptions to learn if the award nomination can be submitted through the Awards Nomination Online system. Visit the SOT website to nominate scientists deserving of the Society’s recognition.
