The Society of Toxicology (SOT) is pleased to announce that Martha Malone began serving as the Society’s deputy executive director on July 10. As deputy executive director, Ms. Malone will provide support to SOT Council in helping the Society achieve its strategic priorities and objectives. She also will work closely with the SOT Endowment Fund Board, as well as other SOT groups and committees.
Ms. Malone comes to SOT from the Industrial Research Institute, where she provided leadership in educational programming, needs assessment, strategic planning, and knowledge management. Her professional experience also includes management consulting and educational programming for governors and their staff while with the National Governors Association and environmental and public health regulation as the state coordinator of a Department of Energy Superfund site cleanup for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. Malone has a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science and health and a Master of Nonprofit Organizations degree and has received the Certified Association Executive (CAE) accreditation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
