AAAS Seeks 100 Women in STEM to Serve as Ambassadors

AAAS IF-THEN Ambassadors.pngThe American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is seeking 100 women working in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) field to participate in the IF/THEN Ambassadors program. The program’s goal is to reach girls in middle and high school to encourage interest in STEM. Ambassadors will represent the various careers within the broader STEM field and will teach girls how STEM plays a role in daily life.

In addition to having opportunities to speak to middle and high school girls in their schools, IF/THEN Ambassadors will use media to spread awareness of STEM opportunities to girls. They also will attend a summit enabling them to carry out the program’s mission and will connect with fellow Ambassadors and other experts online.

The application deadline is July 21, 2019, at 11:59 pm (ET). Any questions should be sent via email.

SOT is a member association of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
