The SOT Achievement Award is presented to a member of the Society who, within 15 years since obtaining the highest earned degree, has made significant contributions to toxicology. One of the longest-standing SOT awards, the SOT Achievement Award was first awarded in 1967. This is one of the first awards envisioned by the Society, and its recipients have achieved success not only early in their careers but throughout their careers as well

Kleinstreuer and Hines 2019.pngIf you know a colleague who in 2020 is within 15 years of receiving the highest degree (i.e., MD, PhD, DVM, or other highest degree received in 2005 or later), please take the time to nominate that colleague this summer.

As is the case for many SOT awards, nominations for the Achievement Award should include the nominee’s abbreviated CV (10 pages maximum) and both a primary and a seconding letter of nomination from Full members of the Society. These letters should provide in layman’s terms an analysis of the nominees significant contributions to toxicology and how they apply to the award criteria. Please note: the Awards Committee will review only the two letters required to complete the nomination; no additional letters will be considered.

This is an opportunity to honor a colleague for outstanding work in toxicology, and nominations will be accepted online through October 9, 2019. Nominate a deserving member for the 2020 SOT Achievement Award!
