The website for the SOT 59th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo is now live, featuring the information you need to begin planning for the meeting. Consult the “Program” section of the website for more on the 2020 scientific program, including full details on the Continuing Education courses and a listing of all tentatively accepted Scientific Sessions. The website also offers further information on items new for 2020, including the updated Annual Meeting policy allowing children to accompany registrants in Scientific Sessions and ToxExpo.

Consult the Annual Meeting website to take advantage of the early-bird registration rates and exclusive hotel fees—registration and housing are open! Early-bird registration ends January 10, 2020.

Finally, some upcoming Annual Meeting items to mark on your calendar and explore on the website include:

  • The Abstract Submission Period beginning August 15, 2019. More information about abstract preparation, submission, sponsorship, and scheduling is available on the “Abstracts” web page, and further details on abstract submission will be posted to this page as the submission period approaches.
  • The SOT awards that are bestowed during and support travel to the SOT Annual Meeting. October 9 is the deadline for nominations and applications for many SOT awards, while October 18 is a key date for undergraduate awards. Others have deadlines in the months leading up to the Annual Meeting. An overview of the various types of available awards is available on the “SOT Awards” web page.
  • The Annual Meeting publications, again provided in an all-digital format in 2020. All publications—including the Preliminary Program PDF, the Program PDF, and The Toxicologist PDF—will be available electronically on the “Program” section of the Annual Meeting website, beginning with the Preliminary Program in November 2019.

I encourage you to visit the Annual Meeting website regularly—it will continually feature the most up-to-date information as we prepare for a prosperous Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California.
