Nomination Request for US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee

In a recent Notice (Docket No. FDA–2018–N–3263) in Volume 84, No. 201 (Thursday, October 17, 2019) of the Federal Register, the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) announced that it “is requesting nominations for members to serve on the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee, in the Center for Tobacco Products.” According to the Notice, US FDA aims to secure suitable candidates from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of perspectives.

To submit a nomination electronically, log in to the US FDA Advisory Nomination Portal. Alternatively, nominations may be mailed to: Advisory Committee Oversight and Management Staff, Food and Drug Administration, 10903 New Hampshire Ave., Bldg. 32, Rm. 5103, Silver Spring, MD 20993–0002. 

To receive first consideration, nominations should be received by December 16, 2019. Those received after this date “will be considered for nomination to the committee as later vacancies occur,” per the Notice.
