The Scientific Program Committee is planning another dynamic slate of sessions for the 2019 Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, March 10–14, 2019. We are happy to announce that the abstract submission site is now open to accept abstracts for poster and platform presentations. This year, the deadline to submit an abstract has been extended to Friday, October 19, 2018, at 11:59 PM (US Eastern Time), and the cost is $50.

As always, it is our goal to construct a program that reflects both the best science, as well as the breadth of interests across the SOT membership. We believe that the 2019 Symposia, Roundtables, Workshops, and other scientific and featured sessions are timely and highly informative, and span a full spectrum of topics to meet the diversity of our membership. An overview of these sessions can be found on the SOT website. Please stay tuned as we will continue to provide updates as the plans for the meeting develop. We hope that you have started thinking about your contributions to the meeting and that you are planning to present your most recent research results. The 2019 abstract submission site, which contains instructions and guidelines, may be accessed in the abstract section of the website.  If you submitted a session proposal last spring or an abstract proposal for last year’s Annual Meeting, you may use the same User ID and password for submitting an abstract.

For questions related to the submission of abstracts, please be sure to visit the website to access the FAQ section.  If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact the SOT office at 703.438.3115.

We are very excited about returning to Baltimore, the location of the 2017 Annual Meeting. The famous Inner Harbor and National Aquarium are 10-minute walks from the Baltimore Convention Center. Charming neighborhoods such as Fells Point, Little Italy, and Federal Hill, as well as historic sites, such as Fort McHenry and the B&O Railroad Museum, are a quick taxi, Uber, or Lyft ride away. The Convention Center is located directly across the street from Camden Yards, home of the Orioles, and many hotel rooms in the SOT block have views of the field.  And for a true Baltimore experience, roll a game or two at a nearby duckpin bowling alley.

On behalf of the SOT Council and Scientific Program Committee, we look forward to welcoming you to Baltimore for the 58th Annual Meeting!
