On December. 17, 2015, the Senate passed S. 697, the “Frank Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act” by unanimous consent and without any debate. This is another major step in the process toward achieving a revised and reformed Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

The Society for the Advancement Chicanos and Native Americans in Science held their 42nd Annual Conference October 29-31 in Washington, DC. The conference attracted over 4,000 undergraduates, graduate students and professionals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
