SOT congratulates 72 members who have upgraded their membership and 193 new members—including 62 Full members, 29 Associate members, 17 Postdoctoral members, and 85 Graduate Student members—who have joined the Society.
For graduate students, life comes at you fast. After many years balancing course work, teaching assistantships, research, comprehensive exams, thesis writing, and the eventual defense, students find themselves no longer asking about biochemical pathways, but are instead asking about career pathways.
An upcoming National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine workshop on Understanding Pathways to a Paradigm Shift in Toxicity Testing and Decision Making, is scheduled for November 20‒21, 2017. This workshop is sponsored by NIEHS.
