The Scientific Program Committee is excited to announce the scientific program for the SOT 59th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, March 15–19, 2020, in Anaheim, California, and the opening of the 2020 Abstract Submission Period.
Nominations are open through October 9 for the 2020 SOT Founders Award (for Outstanding Leadership in Toxicology), which is presented to leaders in developing or applying state-of-the-art approaches that reveal safety levels of chemical and physical agent exposure with a high degree of certainty.
SOT will continue matching donations to the two remaining temporarily restricted funds until September 30, 2019, up to the point that they reach permanent status.
Council has approved a new SOT Specialty Section: the Sustainable Chemicals through Contemporary Toxicology Specialty Section (SCCTSS). The purpose of SCCTSS is to address the broader impact of toxicological research to inform decisions that advance safer chemistry throughout the product life cycle.
The Enhancement of Animal Welfare Award is presented annually to an SOT member in recognition of contributions made to the advancement of toxicological science through the development and application of methods that replace, refine, or reduce the need for experimental animals.
