On December 27, 2012, SOT Full members, Retired Full, and Emeritus members received the ballot for the election of 2013-2014 SOT Council officers and elected standing committees via an email, and all valid ballots received by February 1, 2013, will be counted.

SOT Member John F. Rosen passed away on December 7. As noted in his obituary in the New York Times, his “discovery of high levels of lead poisoning among the New York City children he treated propelled him to campaign for a national effort to prevent the condition."
