The SOT Bylaws have been updated to reflect the current SOT Committee names. Council requests that members review and send comments on the updated Bylaws by December 21, 2019.
The recently proposed change to the SOT Bylaws concerning membership application requirements for Associate members has been overwhelmingly approved.
This year's update to the Constitution and Bylaws allows the waiver of the requirement for current Associate members to provide new nomination letters when upgrading to Full membership. You are requested to cast your ballot on the change on or before April 22, 2019.
In June, I wrote to encourage the voting members of SOT to review and approve the changes to the Constitution and Bylaws proposed by SOT Council. I am pleased to report that these changes were overwhelmingly approved and can be viewed on the SOT website.
The SOT Council reviews the Constitution and Bylaws to ensure that they reflect the current operations of the organization. Changes include grammatical items, modifying the membership definition to more clearly include allied disciplines, and expanding the number of individuals permitted on the BOP.
