ToxSci has introduced a new article type: ToxPoint. ToxPoint articles are short, interactive editorial manuscripts focused on emerging areas of toxicology. With these articles, ToxSci also launched a new comment feature meant to foster exchanges and discussions.

The recognition of hemangiosarcoma in plastics workers led to the worldwide recognition of vinyl chloride (VC) as a carcinogen in the 1970s. Work to understand the health effects of VC has continued since, including how VC interacts with underlying fatty liver diseases.
