More information is provided here on the Sustainable Chemicals through Contemporary Toxicology Specialty Section, the newest SOT Specialty Section. The SCCT Specialty Section seeks to advance SOT members’ training and practice in topics particularly relevant to sustainable chemicals.
In addition to SOT awards, fellowships, and supported awards with an October 9 application/nomination deadline, the Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and Specialty Sections of SOT confer many awards throughout the year to recognize the achievements of toxicologists.
The SOT Annual Meeting attracts more than one-third of the SOT membership. Gathering more than 2,000 members in a central location provides excellent networking opportunities such as the Specialty Section luncheon events and evening receptions.
We are very pleased to announce the formation of the Exposure Specialty Section. All are welcome to join us on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 12:00-1:30pm in Convention Center Room 211 at our first official meeting.
Dr. Laura James is a force to be reckoned with in the field of toxicology. Her research has taken her from exploring the basics mechanisms of acetaminophen-induced liver injury and subsequent regeneration to the development of a new medical device for diagnosis of acetaminophen overdose in patients.
