I am grateful to the Society of Toxicology for the opportunity to participate in the Domestic ToxScholar Program and visit the University of Alaska Anchorage, through a visit coordinated by local host Micah Han, to share information about the field of toxicology to undergraduate students.
On Thursday, January 11, the SOT Education Committee and the SOT Undergraduate Education Subcommittee sponsored an Undergraduate Educator Network entitled, “Don’t Sweat It…Three Dry Labs for Undergraduate Toxicology Programs.”
What is graduate school like? Graduate students and postdocs will generously volunteer their time to participate in a networking event with undergraduate students at the SOT Annual Meeting to answer that and other questions.
The Committee on Diversity Initiatives is seeking volunteers interested in becoming mentors for the 2018 Undergraduate Diversity Program held March 10-12, 2018, in conjunction with the SOT Annual Meeting. The deadline is January 24.
The Committee on Diversity Initiatives encourages SOT undergraduate and graduate students who are members of groups under-represented in the sciences to apply for the Diversity Initiatives Endowment Career Development Award.
