The May 2024 issue of Toxicological Sciences includes a Contemporary Review that comprehensively overviews all relevant aspects inherent to intestinal failure-associated liver disease. The issue also features an In-Depth Review about insights into the occurrence, identification, contamination status, exposure limits, and toxicity of new unregulated disinfection by-products (nitrosamine DBPs) in drinking water while a Forum article explores the rabbit as a model species for general toxicology studies. Additionally, #ToxSpotlight articles describe how pyrolysis gas chromatography and mass spectrometry are used to evaluate microplastics in human placental samples and how carbamazepine (CBZ) affects the zebrafish’s immune system.
