In the Research Funding Insights Room (254 A in the Salt Palace Convention Center) at the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, volunteers from funding agencies discuss aspects of scientific review or specific grant opportunities with interested attendees. New investigators are especially encouraged to meet with program staff, but investigators at any level are welcome to come discuss opportunities and processes for the representative funding agencies. The room provides a great opportunity for attendees to connect to discuss funding opportunities. There are benefits for funding recipients and funders alike.
Attendees
The room will be open:
- Monday, March 11, 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Tuesday, March 12, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Wednesday, March 13, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
The room is closed for a lunch break each day from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
You can view the schedule online to identify when specific agency representatives are available. No appointments are necessary, but you can visit Room 254 A to sign up ahead of time, if desired.
Program Officers
Are you a Program Officer or funding staff member attending the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo who would like to meet with individuals looking for insight into the grant review process or specific grant opportunities available at your agency? The SOT Education and Career Development Committee invites you to volunteer in the Research Funding Insights Room, where representatives from federal and other funding agencies are available for individual conversations with SOT Annual Meeting attendees. If you are interested in your agency having a Program Officer to meet with attendees, please contact me to submit your interest.
