SOT Signs MOUs with the Korean Society of Toxicology and American College of Toxicology

By Dori Germolec posted 25 days ago

I am pleased to announce that SOT recently entered two new Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to strengthen our ties with toxicologists worldwide.

During the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in Salt Lake City, SOT leadership met with representatives from the Korean Society of Toxicology (KSOT) and co-signed an MOU stating:

“At present this agreement is made as a gesture of goodwill between the two societies, which may lead to:

  1. Mutual participation in annual meetings
  2. Recommendation of invited speakers for joint symposium in annual meetings
  3. International collaboration to increase the impact of toxicological science”

This formal acknowledgement of the connection between our societies will open dialogue and enable collaborations, enhancing opportunities for members of both organizations and leading to impactful contributions to the future of toxicology.

Also in March, the American College of Toxicology (ACT) and SOT signed an MOU that cements our longstanding partnership to produce and publish the Triennial Toxicology Salary Survey. Through the MOU, SOT will be responsible for developing the survey, securing responses, and conducting the analysis of the data, while ACT maintains responsibility for publishing a manuscript of the analysis, ensuring that the manuscript is open access. SOT values the role that ACT has played and will continue to play in disseminating the results of the Triennial Salary Survey, and I look forward to our continued collaboration.
