Maximize Your Annual Meeting Experience through the SOT Childcare Program

Editor’s note: Based on a lack of enrollment as of the advance enrollment deadline of January 21, 2022, SOT has canceled the childcare services that were planned for the 2022 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. A childcare service will be offered again for the 2023 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo.

Remember that during the SOT 61st Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, registrants are allowed to bring fully vaccinated children under full parental/guardian control into the Scientific Sessions and the ToxExpo Exhibit Hall. For more on the SOT child policy, view the Annual Meeting Policies.

SOT has contracted with KiddieCorp to provide childcare during the 61st Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. KiddieCorp is a premier provider of children’s program services during events. The Childcare Program will be located at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and will provide care for children ages 6 months through 12 years old.

This program is for children accompanying registered attendees to help maximize the meeting experience for registrants traveling with children. The cost for the childcare program is $12.00 per hour, per child. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child for each day registered.

The advance registration deadline is January 21, 2022. You are encouraged to register early, as availability is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. KiddieCorp must receive both the registration form and payment in full to hold reservations. See the registration form for more information about KiddieCorp services.

Health and Safety

The Society, as well as KiddieCorp and the Marriott, are monitoring safety and health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local health authorities. SOT will continually adjust its processes for the event in accordance with these directives.

KiddieCorp and Marriott staff are required to wear masks, as are children over 2 years of age. Upon arrival, all staff and children will be screened and have their temperatures checked.

Hand sanitation stations are located throughout the hotel, including in the childcare room. The Marriott has a full fresh-air filtration system and does not recycle air. The meeting space and guest rooms are filtered from the outside.
