There is a significant number of professional toxicologists who have chosen to pursue careers in the consulting business. The reasons are as manifold as the kinds of consulting opportunities and career stages at which one might choose a consulting path. The range of situations extends from a toxicologist who joins a consulting firm right out of graduate school to one who decides to form their own consulting practice to one who transitions from a full-time career in industry, government, or academia to pursue one in the consulting business. Such choices cannot be made lightly and are quite individual according to one’s personal nature and risk tolerance. Three successful consultants with differing life and professional experiences tell their stories and provide key takeaway points for toxicologists of all ages to consider when exploring options for a career in toxicology consulting. The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session.
