2019 Session Proposal Webinar “Empowering the Endorsers: Developing Competitive Scientific Session Proposals”

By Ronald Hines posted 02-08-2018 16:11

As we prepare for the Society of Toxicology (SOT) 2018 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, the Scientific Program Committee (SPC) is in the early stage of planning for the 2019 Annual Meeting in Baltimore. The SPC will hold the annual webinar designed to illuminate the process by which proposals for scientific sessions are reviewed and the criteria for evaluation. The SPC values the input we receive from the membership, in particular the Specialty Sections, Special Interest Groups, and SOT Committees and Task Forces, with respect to the Annual Meeting Program. Therefore, please mark your calendar for Thursday, February 15, 2018, to participate in “Empowering the Endorsers: Developing Competitive Scientific Session Proposals” webinar from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM EST.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the submission, review, and decision process, and answer some of the frequently asked questions related to proposal submission. Our goal is to provide participants with insight from the perspective of the SPC that will aid them in preparing top-quality, competitive proposals. We are aware of the exciting opportunities as well as challenges for the proposal developers and would like to discuss how we can continue to improve this process and make our SOT activities even stronger. We hope that you’ll set aside some time to participate in this interactive session.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact SOT Headquarters at 703.438.3115.
