Below are upcoming meetings that may be of interest to you. For more information, contact the organizers directly.

International Workshop on Radiation Damage to DNA, Cambridge, MA, June 14–18

The 13th International Workshop on Radiation Damage to DNA will take place on June 14–18, 2014, at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Registration is open. This highly successful series of uniquely interdisciplinary workshops bring together physicists, chemists, biologists, and clinicians to discuss the latest research on the effects of ionizing radiation on DNA and on how to translate the research ideas to clinical and public health outcomes. The participants, limited to 125, will be from diverse academic and research institutions and will include graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career and senior scientists. In 15 sessions with two Keynote Lectures and two poster sessions, the Workshop introduces new topics and also addresses the latest developments at the interface of physics, chemistry, and biology of radiation-induced DNA damage. The workshop format will promote discussion of the mechanisms involved in the production of DNA lesions, the ultimate biological consequences of those lesions, and pathways to disease prevention, diagnosis, and therapy. Along with invited presentations organized to promote formal and informal discussions, the workshop structure emphasizes the participation of young scientists with an oral presentation in each session for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and young scientists, and encourages their professional development by mentoring and networking with senior researchers. 50th Congress of European Societies of Toxicology, Edinburgh, September 7‒10

The 50th Congress of the European Societies of Toxicology (EUROTOX) will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Edinburgh, Scotland,  September 7‒10, 2014. The conference aim  is to “Advance Science for Human and Environmental Health” and the program will highlight new and innovative science and current regulatory topics. There will be a mix of plenary and keynote lectures, symposia, workshops, and a full continuing education program. In addition, there will be interactive poster sessions and a dynamic trade exhibition. EUROTOX 2014 will attract toxicologists from around the world to come together to meet and discuss the key issues facing the discipline today. The early registration closes on June 6, 2014.
