Jia-Sheng Wang, Ph.D., University of Georgia

 

Dr. Wang is the Athletic Association Professor in Public Health and the Head of the Department of Environmental Health Science at the College of Public Health, University of Georgia (UGA), where he has worked since 2008. He is also a Professor in the Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program at UGA. He received a Ph.D. in Pathology from Boston University School of Medicine in 1994 and was a postdoctoral scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1986-1991) and Johns Hopkins University (1994-1996). Dr. Wang has served on the study sections and review panels for NIH, EPA, DOD, and USAID, etc. He is author/co-author of 260 publications including peer-reviewed articles and/or book chapters. He has been a member of the SOT since 1995 and has served the SOT in the following capacities: President of SOT Food Safety Special Section, President of American Association of Chinese in Toxicology, Chair of SOT-FDA Colloquium Organizing Committee, and Vice President of SOT Carcinogenesis Special Section. He is the Fellow of the Academy of Toxicological Sciences.
