Seeking Submissions and Judges: 2022 GSLC 3MT

By Belkys Gonzalez posted 12-09-2021 13:45

The Graduate Student Leadership Committee (GSLC) is looking for contestants and judges for this year’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition!

All trainees, from undergraduates to postdocs, are invited to submit entries. We hope you can look at your projects in a new light and help bring focus to your critical findings in compelling and creative ways, under the 180-second time constraint.

3MT is a great way to advertise your work, network with the SOT community, and use your skills to master a novel big-picture presentation approach. It also provides an opportunity to market yourself for future job opportunities or collaborations. Cash prizes will be awarded in categories for undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars.

All you need to enter is a short, catchy title and a 250-word abstract. If selected, your presentation will need to be understandable by a general audience. Submit your abstract by December 15 for a chance to compete! All selected presentations will be due in late February.

We also are seeking experienced toxicologists of all levels to serve as judges for the competition. All final entries will be available in an online video gallery and will be three minutes or less. We hope you will enjoy this experience as you help the next generation of toxicologists! If you are interested in serving as a judge, please email Jessie Yuhaniak.

For more information, check out the 2022 guidelines, and if you have any questions, please reach out.
