By James Luyendyk posted 09-29-2022 16:20

A few slots remain for a virtual science communications training workshop being held Friday, October 28, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (US EDT, UTC -4). The open slots will be filled through a first-come, first-served process, so submit your application now.

This workshop will be led by expert faculty members from the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science and will involve hands-on, participatory learning, with all attendees engaged through web cameras. During the workshop, participants will learn how to:

  • Develop strategies to connect with and understand an audience
  • Set meaningful, realistic communication goals
  • Design a message in a way that will help others connect with them, their work, and why their work matters

Individuals who apply for this training but are not selected because of space limitations will be automatically considered for the next workshop to be held in May 2023.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your science communication skills by applying for the SOT Science Communications Training Award.
