Oxford University Press (OUP), the publisher of Toxicological Sciences, has provided information on operations of the Society’s official journal during the adjusted business conditions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The most significant changes occurring in the short term involve the OUP strategy for printing and distributing ToxSci. Although OUP intends to continue producing print editions of the journal, supply-chain considerations have necessitated short-term adjustments. Specifically, the mailing of print copies will be limited to US-based members, personal subscribers, and subscribers at medical institutions. Therefore, OUP will not be mailing print copies of the journal to subscribers based outside the US for a short-term period in an effort to avoid sending copies via air freight, where current capacity is greatly lowered.

However, to continue delivering the cutting-edge research disseminated through ToxSci each month, OUP is working to ensure that print-only subscribers have access to the online version of the journal while print distribution is disrupted.

As OUP continues to keep SOT leadership informed of any changes in journal production and distribution resulting from the current global situation, leadership will likewise inform the SOT membership of such updates to ensure that members continue to receive research at the forefront of toxicology during these uncertain times.
