The August 2019 edition of Toxicological Sciences—Volume 170, Issue 2—continues progressing “strategies . . . for the future benefit of the journal,” in accordance with the vision of Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey M. Peters, PhD.

Among the leading toxicological research published in the August issue are several Tox Spotlight articles. Introduced in July, Tox Spotlight is a new designation bestowed upon certain pieces in each edition of ToxSci. Four Tox Spotlight articles are featured in Volume 170, Issue 2:
