This year saw yet another very successful Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. Receiving the member rate for attending the meeting is just one of many reasons to become involved in SOT. The deadline for the next membership application review by the Membership Committee is May 1, 2014. Applications completed by this date will be reviewed in the month of May.
SOT's online application for membership is both convenient and free! All that is needed is approximately 15 minutes, an up-to-date curriculum vitae, and contact information for application sponsors.The Society offers membership types for every career stage. From Student and Postdoctoral to Associate and Full membership, SOT offers programs, activities, and networking opportunities that will enhance professional development.
If you know someone who attended the 2014 SOT Annual Meeting as a nonmember, encourage them to consider SOT's special offer to these individuals. They are eligible to receive a dues waiver for 2014—that is, once their application is submitted, reviewed, and approved by the SOT Membership Committee and SOT Council, they will NOT be charged any dues for 2014. This is a savings of $138 for Full and Associate members, $35 for Postdoctoral members, and $20 for Student members. Applications must be completed by May 1, 2014 to qualify for this incentive.
