The Society of toxicology held a Toxicology Educational Summit last fall to address updating and modernizing toxicology education at multiple levels to meet the needs of an ever advancing profession. The Roundtable entitled, “the Future of Toxicology Education: Outcomes of the Toxicology Educational Summit” which will be presented at the SOT 2012 Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in San Francisco on Wednesday, March 14,12:00 noon to 1:20 pm, at the Moscone Convention Center will discuss the outcomes and recommendations from this summit and conclude with comments on each topic that came from the audience who attended the Summit. What are the priorities in terms of strengthening toxicology training? Did participants identify training needs and if so, what are those needs? What are the challenges to regulatory science and how might we overcome these?
