Hope everyone has a happy, safe July 4. This week, SOT members provided insight to The New York Times and had their research touted by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).

“Young children are particularly vulnerable to the toxic effects of lead because lead can affect children's developing nerves and brains," Jianghong Liu tells NIEHS. A new JAMA Pediatrics paper by Dr. Liu and colleagues links lead levels in children’s blood with emotional and behavioral problems, such as anxiety, depression, and aggression.
