On November 3, 2016, a Society of Toxicology Contemporary Concepts in Toxicology (SOT CCT) webinar will address the critical issue of Reproducibility and Reliability of Biomedical Research: The Extent of the Problem at 2:00 pm ET. The webinar will be presented by C. Glenn Begley of Akriveia Therapeutics. In his webinar abstract, he notes that “21st century toxicology is in the midst of a revolution with the generation of new data and scientific publications at a previously unprecedented rate….Unfortunately, there is compelling evidence that the majority of these discoveries will not stand the test of time.”
The SOT CCT meetings and webinars are held to provide tools and resources to members that will enhance their professional and scientific development, as well as to provide an opportunity for building improved understanding of and dialogue around emerging science critical to advancing the practice of toxicology. Registration for this SOT CCT webinar is required. Following the presentation, there will be time for participants to engage in a question-and-answer session.
