US CPSC To Amend Animal Testing Regulations

By Martha Lindauer posted 07-24-2012 12:32 PM

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is proposing to amend its regulations regarding animal testing methods under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA). This law requires that the appropriate cautionary labeling be done for certain hazardous household products to alert consumers to potential hazards caused by the product. Hazards that are addressed by FHSA include products that are toxic, corrosive, irritants, flammable, combustible, or sensitizers. Written comments must be submitted by September 12 to the regulations.gov website.
