The 2013 Lone Star Regional Chapter (RC) of the Society of Toxicology (LSSOT) annual meeting, hosted by the Texas Tech University Department of Environmental Toxicology, was a great success. The theme of the meeting was “One Health: Linking Environmental and Human Health.” The meeting was held in Lubbock, Texas, October 17–18 and hosted 44 toxicologists from Texas, Chicago, and Beirut, Lebanon. The schedule included a keynote address titled “Back to the Future: Integrating Metabolomic and Transcriptomic Data for Predictive and Investigative Toxicology” presented by SOT 2013–2014 President Lois D. Lehman-McKeeman who is pictured at the right. The meeting also featured student platform and poster sessions. In addition, LSSOT was able to provide travel support to students and host commercial vendors from across the country.
