NAS Call for Nominations: Expert Reviewers for Report on Potential Long-term Health Effects on Army Test Subjects, Deadline July 7

By Ruth Roberts posted 06-29-2017 11:40 AM

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will evaluate an updated literature review and analysis of potential long-term health effects on Army test subjects. The review includes studies on more than 100 test agents, including biological and chemical agents, drugs, and medications. The committee will determine whether the report appropriately identifies potential long-term health effects from exposure during testing and uses an adequate weight-of-evidence approach to characterize the strength of association between agents and their potential effects. The National Academies is seeking individuals with expertise in the following areas: bioethics, biological agents, chemical warfare agents, clinical toxicology, dermal toxicology, epidemiology, general toxicology, infectious disease, neurotoxicology, reproductive toxicology, and risk assessment.

You can review the Statement of Task and nominate an individual to serve on the study committee. The deadline for nominations is July 7, 2017.
