The February 2017, Vol. 155, Issue 2 of Toxicological Sciences (ToxSci) now is available online. As you Look Inside ToxSci, take note of the editorial on Preprints in Toxicology by ToxSci Editor-in-Chief Gary W. Miller. In a brief summary of the editorial, he writes that:

"In this issue’s editorial, I address the topic of preprints in toxicology. Although a mainstay in physics for decades, the biomedical research community is still in the early phases of adoption. At Toxicological Sciences, we strive to publish the highest quality research in the field. We focus on the point of submission to online publication, but efforts to improve the reporting of research results before and after that span are more than welcome. Preprints represent one of those possible strategies. I look forward to your feedback and encourage you to Look Inside ToxSci for the best original research in the field of toxicology."

Also in Look Inside ToxSci, you will find four Editor's Highlights prepared by ToxSci Associate Editors Matthew J. Campen on CCR2 and Ozone-Mediated Lung Injury, Jodi A. Flaws on Chromium VI Exposure and the Placenta, Gunnar Johanson on Interactions Between Buprenorphine and Ethanol Revealed, and Jeffrey M. Peters on Microbial-Derived Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Agonists/Antagonists.

The mission of ToxSci, the official journal of the Society of Toxicology, is to publish the most influential research in the field of toxicology.
