Did you know that the Society of Toxicology (SOT) sponsors SOT members to visit undergraduate and graduate institutions wherein they serve as toxicology lecturers? With the SOT Awards application deadline of October 9, now is the time to prepare your application for an International ToxScholar Outreach Grant and become an International ambassador for toxicology. The SOT Education Committee invites SOT members, Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and Specialty Sections to submit applications for partial or full travel support up to $1,250. These awards are for campus visits outside North America and designed to promote toxicology careers through the interaction of toxicologists with undergraduate and graduate students. We encourage the provision of matching funds from the sponsoring group(s), the academic institutions involved, and/or the employer of the visitor. Applications for visits to countries on the SOT Developing Countries list are favored.

Over the past few years, the SOT has helped support many outstanding members for educational outreach travel outside of North America through the International ToxScholar Outreach Grant.
