The SOT Undergraduate Education Program will be held from Saturday, March 9, through midday Monday, March 11, in conjunction with the SOT Annual Meeting, San Antonio, Texas. Highlights of the Saturday night Opening Event include the Tox Squad Icebreaker facilitated by Alice R. Villalobos, Texas A&M, College Station, Texas. Students will participate in a variety of get-acquainted activities at their table (e.g., largest family and most Facebook Friends) and the winners will receive a Derby hat, designating them a member of the Tox Squad, in recognition of the Poison Squad associated with the advent of food and drug regulation.

This kick-off  event also will feature "An Introduction to Toxicology" presented by Antonio T. Baines, a 1993 Undergraduate Education Program Alumnus, North Carolina University, Durham, North Carolina.

The Committee on Diversity Initiatives (CDI) has awarded travel support to 42 undergraduate students and six faculty advisors from institutions all over the United States to participate in this program. For more information on the Events and Outreach activities at the SOT 2013 Annual Meeting, please visit the SOT website.
