FASEB Seeks to Expand Disciplines Represented in Science Research Conference Series

By Peter Goering posted 04-30-2020 01:51 PM

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) Science Research Conferences (SRCs) explore leading-edge bioscience and primary research. These events empower early career researchers through career development and mentoring, foster networking opportunities, and advance international discussions of emerging science, as well as fostering research in academic, industrial, and government laboratories. FASEB intends to expand the SRC Series offerings by hosting more conferences focusing on new and underrepresented disciplines.

To this end, FASEB is seeking highly regarded international scientists to serve as SRC organizers for 2022, convening conferences that exhibit pioneering bioscience and foster dynamic and inclusive networks. SRC organizers provide overall leadership and strategic bioscience direction for the conference, as well as play a critical stewardship role in raising financial support for the SRC.

There is currently an opportunity for leaders in toxicology to participate in the conference series, as FASEB has expressed an interest in conferences focusing on the liver-brain axis and kidney, among other topic areas. SOT members interested in participating in the SRC Series and incorporating toxicology into such an event should consult the FASEB website for more information.

SOT is a member association of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.
