Let’s be honest—by the time Tuesday rolls around, you’ll need a breather from the Continuing Education, plenaries, Symposia, Workshops, Roundtables, whatnot. What better way to chill than spending a couple of hours at the SOT version of a trivia night steeped in poison?
The three teams are now in place: Mobin Ul Islam, Rachel M. Speer, and David Woolley will compose the Endocrine Disruptors; Tim Allen, Manushree Bharadwaj, and Adam Woolley will form the Toxic Metabolites; and Motunrayo G. Akande, James T.F. Wise, and Jamie Young will compose the Free Radicals.
Sure, these colleagues of yours may be able to whip off a passable peer-reviewed journal article or PhD dissertation, but do they know the poison of choice used by Lucrezia Borgia? Now, that’s knowledge!
Bruce Fowler, serving as this year’s distinguished judge, has assured us he will accept no bribes (that can be traced, that is).
And to round out our cast of characters, there is our crew, providing invaluable assistance in all aspects of the program: Marie Bourgeois, Olushola M. Awoyemi, Sara Humes, Esther Haugabrooks, and Sue Ford, all honest and peace-loving people, as long as the stakes are low.
So, come for the swag and cash bar but most of all for the general foolishness and mayhem. If you learn something, too—hey, that won’t hurt.
Mark the date, time, and place on your calendars: Tuesday, March 12, 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor East Ballroom.
We’re ready to go. Don’t miss it!
