US EPA to Hold Public Hearings on Updates for National Air Quality Standards

The US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) is hosting two public hearings on proposed updates to national air quality standards for fine particle pollution. The first hearing will be held Tuesday, July 17 from 9:00 am–9:00 pm at the William J. Green Federal Building, 600 Arch Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The second hearing will be held on Thursday, July 19 from 9:00 am–9:00 pm at the California Air Resources Board, 1001 I Street in Sacramento, California.

If you would like to speak at these hearings, contact Alan Rush or call 202.564.1658. US EPA also will accept written comments on the proposed standards until August 31, 2012. A final rule is expected to be issued by December 14, 2012.
