The 2019 Annual Meeting and ToxExpo website is now online, and we are officially accepting registration applications and housing reservations for 58th SOT Annual Meeting. I encourage you to take advantage of the early-bird registration rates and the exclusive hotel fees that SOT has arranged.
Just as toxicology is constantly evolving so is the SOT Annual Meeting. Last year, we introduced all-day Poster Sessions, which will continue in 2019, and this year, we’re piloting 90-minute Symposium and Workshop Sessions. This new format will enhance the scientific content of the meeting, increasing the number of topics and research for discussion.
The Scientific Program Committee has tentatively accepted 73 sessions for 2019. Session titles are currently available on the Annual Meeting website with full session details coming in October 2018. Meanwhile, the Continuing Education (CE) Committee is working on 14 courses. Course descriptions, speakers, and presentation titles are available now, and you can register for the courses at any time as part of your Annual Meeting registration. For those with research to share, abstract submissions will open August 15.
Check the Annual Meeting website often, as we will be continually updating it with meeting information as it becomes available, and it will be a helpful resource in planning your 2019 Annual Meeting and ToxExpo experience.
