The IUTOX 15th International Congress of Toxicology (ICTXV), co-hosted by the Society of Toxicology (SOT), will take place July 15–18, 2019, at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, and will serve as a global forum for the exchange of ideas and science relevant to improving human and environmental health in countries with both robust and developing research and regulatory enterprises. The ICTXV meeting theme is “Toxicology Solutions for Global Public, Environmental, and Personal Health.” More information and session descriptions can be found on the ICTXV website.
We are excited to share with you the following funding opportunities available to ICTXV attendees from eligible developing countries.
SOT Endowment Fund Travel Awards
SOT is pleased to offer travel awards in the amount of $1,000 for junior or senior scientists. Eligibility will be based upon an accepted abstract for presentation at the ICTXV meeting. Presenting authors from eligible developing countries will have the opportunity to apply for this travel stipend in February 2019 and will receive further instructions upon abstract acceptance. Application materials will include documentation of need for funding assistance and ability to attend the meeting. Participants receiving other travel assistance from SOT or IUTOX to attend the ICTXV are not eligible to apply. Abstract submissions must be received by November 30, 2018, via the online system.
IUTOX Travel Awards
IUTOX has announced travel awards in the amount of $1,000 for junior and senior scientists attending the ICTXV meeting. Applicants must be either junior or senior scientists and reside in a country where toxicology is underrepresented. IUTOX Fellowship recipients from 2014 and later are not eligible to apply. For more information, criteria, and to complete the application, please visit the IUTOX website. IUTOX Travel Award applications must be received by Friday, December 7, 2018. Awardees will be announced by February 4, 2019.
