Despite the cancellation of the 2020 SOT Annual Meeting, much of the scientific content intended for presentation during the in-person meeting is being creatively shared online.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, hosted the Rutgers Virtual Pharmacology and Toxicology Conference 2020 to allow participants of the 2020 SOT Annual Meeting and 2020 American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Annual Meeting to share science intended for these meetings as well as to recognize awardees and leadership.
Similarly, the National Toxicology Program of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences centralized materials intended for the 2020 Annual Meeting on its “Presentations at SOT 2020” web page. This page organizes all National Institutes of Health–related activities that were to take place during the 2020 Annual Meeting, including references to Continuing Education (CE) courses, Scientific Sessions, and Poster Sessions.
Additional forms of media also are being employed to present this science. Alison Bernstein, PhD, Co-Chair of the Informational Session “Communicating Risk in a (Mis)information-Rich World,” transformed her presentation into a blog post available on the SciMoms blog. Dr. Bernstein also will be sharing information on communicating risk during the live SOT webinar of her Informational Session on June 4.
In addition to the 625+ ePosters that are available for viewing through May 31, 2020, on the 2020 ePoster Index PDF, Online Planner, SOT Event App, and online version of the app, poster presenters have shared their research on their own platforms to maximize the scope of this science:
And don’t forget about the SOT-hosted Scientific Sessions and Continuing Education courses being held through the end of June 2020. The full schedule is available on the SOT Annual Meeting website.
